Visit of Consul General to An Giang Province 05-06.01.2023

Consul General of India shared "Yesterday, I had a fruitful meeting with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of People’s Committee of An Giang Province. We agreed to host activities and engagements in areas of trade,investment, education, tourism, healthcare and culture this year. The Oc Eo archaeological area situated in An Giang Province has lots of Hindu artefacts including gods and goddess. Later, I had an interesting discussion with teachers of An Giang Vocational Training College. I also visited Nam Viet Corporate company which does a business of 300 million USD in export of pangasius fish.

Today, I attended a conference on Oc Eo culture. He said "I was excited to learn so much on the shared history and culture between both the countries. I also gave a short remark and mentioned about our interest to promote cooperation in archaeology subject. An Giang province is the top rice producer in whole of Vietnam apart from having strength in horticulture,fishery, textile,leather and others
