Meeting “Mahatma Gandhi - the Great National Hero of India” in the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti

In the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, on 2/10/2024, the Consulate General of India in HCMC successfully organized the afternoon function - Meeting "Mahatma Gandhi - The Great National Hero of India" to commemorate the 155th birth anniversary of Gandhi as well as provide a deep understanding of his values and contributions to Vietnamese friends.

The meeting honorably witnessed the participation of distinguished guests including Dr. Huynh Thanh Lap, Chairman of VIFA, Mr. Ho Xuan Lam, Vice Chairman of HUFO, Dr. Le Thi Sinh Hien - Guest speaker, Vice Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty in USSH; and approximately 100 audiences coming from both Indian and Vietnamese communities.

In the meeting, Top 3 of the writing contest about Gandhi was announced and awarded. The first, second, and third prize respectively belonged to Mr. Huynh Gia Khiem, Mr. Duong Van Khang, and Ms. Tran Hong Thien An.
