The Center has been set up by C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), a highly reputed Government of India organization specializing in high- performance computing, cloud computing, quantum computing, micro-processor & emerging electronics, cyber security and related areas. CESDT will serve as an authorized training centre of CDAC in Vietnam upholding its well-regarded standards of education and training.
CESDT is equipped with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure comprised of 5 Servers and 1 Firewall with required Networking setup, two Lab-cum-Class Rooms equipped with 62 Personal Computers installed with all necessary software. As part of the project, the first batch of 5 Vietnamese master trainers completed their requisite training for 6 months at C-DAC Pune, India in 2023 and a second batch of 5 Vietnamese master trainers are presently undergoing training in India.
As part of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, this Centre represents continuation of similar initiatives in the field of IT, digital technology and software services by India in Vietnam. On 1 August 2024, the Prime Ministers of India and Vietnam inaugurated an Army Software Park at Telecommunication University, Nha Trang. Some years ago, India had set up an Advanced Resource Centre in ICT in Hanoi. Similarly another facility housing high performance computer gifted by India at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology has contributed to its academic and research activities.
The Centre is a shining example of India’s firm commitment and efforts towards working closely with Vietnam and ASEAN region particularly in areas of India’s prowess and achievements and in emerging technologies. The Center is expected to bring immense benefit to the officials/students of Vietnam as well as regional countries through a range of courses in areas such as computer programming, data communications & networking, web technology, network security, office automation, cyber forensics and business computing.
