Telephone conversation between Prime Minister and President of Philippines

Prime Minister spoke on telephone today with President of Philippines, His Excellency Rodrigo Duterte, and discussed the steps being taken by the two Governments to address the challenges arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both leaders expressed appreciation for the cooperation extended to ensure the welfare of their citizens in each other's territory, as also for their repatriation home, during the ongoing health crisis. The Philippines President also appreicated the steps taken by India to maintain supply of essential pharmaceutical products to the Philippines.
Prime Minister assured President Duterte of India's commitment to support the Philippines in its fight against the pandemic, and stressed that India's well-established capacity for manufacturing affordable pharmaceutical products, including for an eventual vaccine once it is found, would continue to be deployed for the benefit of entire humanity.
The leaders shared their satisfaction at the progress seen in recent years in all aspects of the bilateral relationship, including defence cooperation. Prime Minister emphasised that India sees the Philippines as a vital partner in the Indo-Pacific Region.
Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to His Excellency President Duterte and the people of the Philippines for the forthcoming National Day of the Philippines.

Cuộc điện đàm giữa Thủ tướng và Tổng thống Philippines

Thủ tướng đã có cuộc điện đàm với Tổng thống Philippines, Ngài Rodrigo Duterte trong hôm nay để thảo luận về các bước được thực hiện việc giải quyết các thách thức phát sinh từ đại dịch COVID-19 của hai Chính phủ.
Cả hai nhà lãnh đạo đều đánh giá cao sự hợp tác mở rộng để đảm bảo phúc lợi cho công dân của họ trên lãnh thổ của nhau cũng như tại quê nhà trong cuộc khủng hoảng sức khỏe đang diễn ra. Tổng thống Philippines cũng đã thông qua các bước mà Ấn Độ đã thực hiện để duy trì nguồn cung các sản phẩm dược phẩm thiết yếu cho Philippines.
Thủ tướng cam đoan với Tổng thống Duterte về sự hỗ trợ của Ấn Độ với Philippines trong cuộc chiến chống lại đại dịch và nhấn mạnh rằng năng lực sản xuất các sản phẩm dược phẩm giá cả phải chăng của Ấn Độ, bao gồm cả vắc-xin nếu được tìm ra sẽ tiếp tục mang lại lợi ích cho toàn nhân loại.
Hai nhà lãnh đạo đã chia sẻ sự hài lòng của mình về những phát triển trong những năm qua trong tất cả các mặt của mối quan hệ song phương, bao gồm cả hợp tác quốc phòng. Thủ tướng nhấn mạnh rằng Ấn Độ coi Philippines là đối tác quan trọng trong khu vực Ấn Độ - Thái Bình Dương.
