Phone call between Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and H.E. Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, President of the United Republic of Tanzania

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a phone call today with His Excellency Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
The Prime Minister warmly recalled his July 2016 visit to Dar-es-Salaam and stressed on the importance that India attaches to its traditionally friendly ties with Tanzania. He reiterated India’s commitment to partnering Tanzania in its development journey, as per the aspirations and needs of the Tanzanian government and people.
The Prime Minister thanked President Dr. Magufuli for the assistance provided by the Tanzanian authorities for evacuation of Indian citizens from Tanzania in the wake of COVID-19.
The leaders reviewed the overall bilateral relationship. They expressed satisfaction at the growing development partnership, educational linkages, and trade and investment flows between India and Tanzania, and discussed possibilities of further accelerating these trends.
Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to His Excellency President Magufuli and the people of Tanzania for the forthcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Tanzania later this year.

Thủ tướng Narendra Modi đã có cuộc điện đàm ngày hôm nay với Ngài John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, Tổng thống nước Cộng hòa Tanzania.
Thủ tướng nhắc lại chuyến thăm tới Dar-es-Salaam vào tháng 7 năm 2016 và nhấn mạnh Ấn Độ rất coi trọng mối quan hệ hữu nghị truyền thống với Tanzania. ông nhắc lại cam kết của Ấn Độ trong việc hợp tác với Tanzania trong quá trình phát triển, theo nguyện vọng và nhu cầu của chính phủ và người dân Tanzania.
Thủ tướng cảm ơn Tổng thống Magufuli vì sự giúp đỡ của chính quyền Tanzania trong việc sơ tán công dân Ấn Độ khỏi Tanzania do dịch COVID-19.
Hai nhà lãnh đạo tổng kết lại mối quan hệ song phương. Hai bên hài lòng về mối quan hệ ngày càng phát triển trong lĩnh vực hỗ trợ phát triển, kết nối giáo dục, dòng chảy thương mại và đầu tư giữa Ấn Độ và Tanzania, và thảo luận khả năng thúc đẩy hơn nữa các xu hướng này.
Thủ tướng đã gửi lời chúc tốt đẹp nhất tới Tổng thống Magufuli và nhân dân Tanzania về cuộc bầu cử Tổng thống và Quốc hội sắp tới tại Tanzania vào cuối năm nay.
