Telephone conversation between Prime Minister and the President of Russian Federation

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke on phone with President of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Vladimir Putin on 2 July 2020.

Prime Minister warmly congratulated President Putin on the success of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War, and also for successful completion of the vote on constitutional amendments in Russia.

Prime Minister recalled the participation of an Indian contingent in the military parade held in Moscow on 24 June 2020, as a symbol of abiding friendship between the peoples of India and Russia.

The leaders took note of the effective measures undertaken by the two countries to address the negative consequences of the Covid-19 global pandemic and agreed on the importance of closer India-Russia ties for jointly addressing the challenges of the post-COVID world.

They agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral contacts and consultations, leading to the annual bilateral Summit to be held in India later this year. Prime Minister conveyed his keenness to welcome President Putin in India for the bilateral Summit.

President Putin thanked the Prime Minister for the phone call and reiterated his commitment to further strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two countries in all spheres.

Điện đàm giữa Thủ tướng và Tổng thống Liên bang Nga

Thủ tướng Narendra Modi đã có cuộc điện đàm với Tổng thống Liên bang Nga, ông Vladimir Putin vào ngày 02 tháng 07 năm 2020.

Thủ tướng nhiệt liệt chúc mừng Tổng thống Putin về thành công của lễ kỷ niệm 75 năm Ngày chiến thắng trong Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ hai, và thành công trong cuộc bỏ phiếu sửa đổi Hiến pháp tại Nga.

Thủ tướng gợi nhắc lại sự tham gia của đội ngũ Ấn Độ trong cuộc diễu hành quân sự tổ chức tại Moscow vào ngày 24 tháng 6 năm 2020, như một biểu tượng của tình hữu nghị giữa các dân tộc Ấn Độ và Nga.

Các nhà lãnh đạo đã lưu ý các biện pháp hiệu quả mà hai nước đã thực hiện để giải quyết hậu quả tiêu cực của đại dịch toàn cầu Covid-19 và cùng thống nhất quan điểm hợp tác chặt chẽ hơn trong mối quan hệ Ấn Độ - Nga nhằm đương đầu với các thách thức của thế giới hậu COVID.

Lãnh đạo hai nước đồng ý duy trì liên lạc và tham vấn song phương, hướng đến Hội nghị thượng đỉnh song phương hàng năm sẽ được tổ chức tại Ấn Độ vào cuối năm nay. Thủ tướng gửi lời mời Tổng thống Putin đến Ấn Độ tham dự Hội nghị thượng đỉnh song phương.

Tổng thống Putin cảm ơn Thủ tướng đã tổ chức cuộc điện đàm và nhắc lại cam kết của ông trong việc tăng cường hơn nữa Quan hệ đối tác Chiến lược và Đặc biệt giữa hai nước trong tất cả các lĩnh vực.
