Resumption of Tourist Visas to India
In pursuance of guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Consulate General of India, Ho Chi Minh City is pleased to announce the resumption of tourist visas as per the following details:
- Foreign nationals planning to visit India for tourism purposes will be allowed to enter India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa through chartered flights (for group tourism only) from 15 October 2021; and
- All individual foreign nationals planning to travel to India for tourism purposes would be permitted to enter India from 15 November 2021.

3. These visas will be issued for a period of 30 days for single-entry. Entry will be allowed by flight or through sea route, but not through land Immigration Check Points (ICPs).
4. Existing valid e-Tourist Visa/Regular Tourist Visa remain suspended. Those holding previously obtained e-Tourist Visa/Regular Tourist Visa and wishing to travel to India will require to obtain a fresh e-Tourist Visa/Regular Tourist Visa.
5. The first 500,000 Tourist visas would be issued on ‘GRATIS’ basis and admissible only once per tourist.
