On August 21, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City chaired a press conference to announce the upcoming Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City (25-27 August 2024) and Nha Trang City and Da Lat City (27-30 August 2024). Dr. Do Viet Ha, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations; and Dr. Huynh Thanh Lap, Chairman of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association of HCMC participated as the co-organizer of the Festival.
During the conference, CG of India highlighted the strong and traditional bilateral ties between India and Vietnam, emphasizing the potential for growth in areas such as tourism, education, and culture, especially thanks to the increasing number of direct flights. The upcoming Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024, he noted, is a significant event that will further strengthen these bonds. The Festival will be a platform to enhance the relationship in 5 sectors: business/investment, tourism, railway, education and filming. 20 celebrities, film producers, entertainment companies, 30 tour operators, 34 universities and around 30 businesses are coming from India to attend the festival.
Representatives from Vietnam Airlines, 365 Group, and Samten Hills Dalat, partners, and sponsors of the festival, were also present. The press conference attracted about 20 media outlets, reflecting the enthusiasm and anticipation for the Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024.
