ANNOUNCEMENT OF ICCR SCHOLARSHIP 2025-2026
The Government of India offers fully-funded scholarships to outstanding Vietnamese students to pursue Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in India under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Schemes. These scholarships cover a wide range of subjects (except Medical, Paramedical, Fashion, Law, and 5-year Integrated Courses) and include notable schemes such as:
Mekong Ganga Cooperation (MGC) Scholarship Scheme
Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Cultural Exchange Scholarship Scheme (CEP)
Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (GSS)
Additionally, the Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme offers opportunities to study Indian culture, including dance, music, theatre, performing arts, sculpture, Indian languages, cuisine, and more.
The scholarships are fully funded, covering:
Visa fees
Tuition fees
Living allowance
Hostel accommodation
Return economy-class airfare
Eligibility criteria:
Age Limits (as of July 1, 2025):
18 to 40 years for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses
Maximum 50 years for Ph.D. programs
Applications should include all required documents as per the checklist below:
Dully filled in application form with photograph and signature
Copies of all educational qualification certificate/ degree/ mark sheets as listed/ uploaded in form
Copies of ID Card and Passport
Certified copies of translation of documents which are not in English
Sypnosis of proposed area of research when applying for M.Phil/ Doctoral/ Postdoctoral course.
Audio/Video clip of those Pwishing to pursue courses in performing arts
Two reference letters by professors/teachers/employers
Certificate of Physical fitness
Local police verification
Note: All documents issued by Vietnamese authorities must be consular legalized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.
Important Considerations:
Non-Eligible Courses: Scholarships are not available for medical, paramedical (nursing, physiotherapy, anesthesia, etc.), fashion, law, or integrated courses such as BALLB (5 years) and B.Sc. & M.Sc. (5 years).
Medical Insurance: All ICCR scholarship recipients must procure a medical insurance policy with a minimum coverage of INR 500,000 per annum. This can be purchased from any insurance provider, with two companies listed on the portal for reference.
Application Process:
Applications are accepted exclusively online through the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal: https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in.
The portal opens on February 20, 2025, and the application deadline is April 30, 2025.
